The resolution of Togo's energy crisis requires an investment of approximately 10 billion CFA francs (20 million U.S. dollars), a Togolese energy and mines ministry official said on Friday.
Togolese energy and mines minister Leopold Gnininvi is currently negotiating for funding with Togo's partners in order to find a way of overcoming the prevailing situation, according to the same source.
During a conference held in Germany in which he has taken part recently, Gnininvi called for technical assistance from Europe to help in repairing the dilapidated energy infrastructure in the country.
