The LOOP is operating on back up sources which can't provide enough juice for a ful up operation I believe. Saw that in one of Dantes reports a day or so ago.

That chart ends in Mid Aug, I do believe we are well below that at the moment, possibly near the lowest low point on the chart.

With some luck, Ike will miss Florida and those in the next evacuation area will have enough gasoline supplies to get them out of town.

I know the models are trending a bit more south for Ike currently, but If we have a south Fl scare with something too close to call in the next few days, we might have another evac problem on our hand ...

Several of the better models are showing only short term weakening for Ike, then more favorable conditions as it nears FL later in the week. Most still show it as a CAT4 down the road.
