We cannot drill our way out of this oil crisis. Since 2000, oil companies working in the U.S. have doubled the number of wells drilled per year.

Although increased drilling has added new oil to the nation's supply, it has not done so fast enough to offset the terminal decline of existing fields.

We are going to have to import more of our oil. Period.

Would think this would be viewed as a bearish report. 1.4 mpd gasoline imports caused the rise in gasoline supplies. Crude supplies are still dropping however. Another thing to note is gasoline demand ...

"Oil prices reach $130 per barrel, and gas prices top $8 per gallon. "

Besides the fact that the conversion between the price of oil and gasoline was off compared to reality (gas prices would be m ...

I agree FX will for multiple reasons never show this again. It is dated, the comparisions between the fictional hurricane and Katrina are way too close for comfort and gas prices they show that result ...

Next couple of week will be important to watch, as it was the time of the very rapid drop in ice extent (>15% ice coverage) in 2007. Judging from the Cryosphere today maps, there are significant a ...

Their most obvious mistake is that that they all assumed 3-4 years ago that the initial rises in the price of oil were temporary. This widely held belief was combined with the booming sales of large t ...
