Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

I bought it from a video store that was going out of business. I really liked it! The Postman is the perfect post-apocalypse doomer movie. So what's not to like?

How much better the book is.

Hey red pill,

I suspect this reply is going to be a lot of random observations and opinions.

Appreciate the fact that you're asking those questions and that you're uncomfortable - it's real livi ...

My sister told me that there are Chinese busses that go from Boston on down the east coast that are supposed to be cheaper and more reliable than the major buslines. On Amtrak, the Acela is still run ...

I'd get a good pro chimney-sweep in to evaluate the situation for you. Ask around to find out who's good in your area. This is not something to take chances on.

It's not like I have an on/off switch to provide me with eternal spiritual fulfillment...

None of us do - it's a matter of ongoing effort. Sometimes we get the fulfillment part; probably most of t ...

Interesting thread - I certainly agree, and I'm many, many years out of school.

I keep having this recurring setting in my dreams. I'm going to college part-time to get my BA degree, even though I ...

Great post! I agree. We can only prepare the best we can, and then hope that it's enough. Anything could happen in the meantime, and it probably will!
