Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

It's just your holier-than-thou attitude annoys me

What are you talking about?

Right, like you're speaking from experience. I suppose you just got back from a lifetime of foraging in the sticks ...

This idea that larger animals will somehow become decimated seems silly to me.

First of all, hunting laws do not keep people from killing massive amounts of animals. Poachers -- the ones that kil ...

Hey, folks, let's be a little more precise with this "technology" word. Normal people have been properly setting forests on fire, using and making trails, and planting stuff forever. I get the impress ...

What Frank said. I also blame the authorites -- products of grains and domesticated animals -- that make eating a privledge instead of a right for my misery.

I find the idea of blaming other genera ...

The problem with avoiding the draft is that the criteria for avoiding it is too limited. Someone can go for this whole CO/pacifist crap so they can avoid "service," or in my case, wasted time. This do ...
