Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

This scenario of course rests on the assumption that there are lots of people not being about to afford their mortgages.

It also rests on the assumption that the banks have the experienced staff ne ...

Does it not bother you one bit that Al Gore and the IPCC claim 10-50 times more oil and gas than the ASPO? How can you believe in both? At the same time?

That's a good point, and I'd like to see so ...

I would like to see some crimes-against-humanity trials before this is all over. Something on the scale of Nuremberg. Burning at the stake over a low fire would be a fitting form of execution.

Valid points. But I am sure their money is in gold, land and hard assets which will always make them elitists. We, the people of the world, are the only suckers who use paper money with no backin ...
