I don't think this has much of a cause from peak oil. The meth problem may have more to do with it.

Hunted on the coast for elk last year be Ready to get wet. I would suggest you bring an extra pair of boots. Also invest in some wool clothing. Bring a good set of rain gear. .30-06 is what I use.
