Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

The first nuclear bomb the US dropped (on Hiroshima) very likely was a good call in that otherwise the US would almost certainly have had to mount a land invasion against Japan's home island, causing ...

The USA is the only country that have, and still uses, nuclear weapons in wars. I want to see this country die first and most painfully; it's karma.

Why do you think that you can right a wrong by a ...

50% might be the case for Russian nukes, doubtless it's higher than that on the US side.

You don't need 2000 nukes to play MAD. Annihilation of a country's food or industrial base is sufficient fo ...

For those of you who always say, they will never use them because both sides lose, they already have used them!

Nuclear weapons were only ever used in an attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. A ...

I could be wrong but from the way many of the posts seem it is as if many here WISH for racial divisions, wish for all the 'different' folks to die off, and wish for the worst of social culture. Its r ...

Ethnic groups will achieve cohesion, rise up and confront the US military? Umm.... ok.

Nicely said Aaron. Realism and common sense seem to be in short supply around here.

Oh, there are other ways to "reason" with Russia as well. Just wait and see. Smile
