Don’t worry, just a little bump - $70 is just around the corner. Short traders just keep making those margin calls, mortgage the house if you have to. Fortunes await you! PO is for pansies and doomers. At $70 short some more ..... it is going back to $22 .... the world is awash with oil ........ reality has nothing to do with it, its all in those charts!!!!!!!!!!

CPI-U Index (not seasonally adjusted)

Dec. 1979 = 76.7
Jan. 2007 = 202.42

202.42/76.7 = 2.63911 which means 163.9% inflation over that time

Oil $38 in Dec. 1979 (monthly ave) = 38*2.63911 = ...

For the person asking about our cushion in case of a grain shortage:

In the United States, more than 9 billion livestock are maintained to supply the animal protein consumed each year (11). This l ...

You are way our of your league in this debate. A higher standard of living is what is responsible for the recent decline in the birth rate, not die-off. . And no, I said that disease and a loss of the ...

We're standing in rising water that's up to our chins and debating whether it's going to stop rising before it gets to our mouths or whether it's going to keep rising until it's over our noses.

A ...

Fletch, I agree with you about not being in overshoot by some modern standards of measure, but for the sake of the natural world, and in order to provide habitat for the natural world, we are so far b ...

I should have said infertility is on the rise. The correlation to overshoot?

Disease and a loss of fertility are the first two indicators of overshoot and collapse, followed by environmental degra ...

Then you have not yet grasped the irrefutable science behind a species' population bloom and collapse.

Bacteria in a petri dish, deer without predation,... yup I understand that-common knowledge. ...

You excluded 49.5 MMT of food when you excluded feed grain.

And I put it back. Doesn' t change the fact that we import more food than we export...and that was the whole argument. Period. Not that ...
