- Oil hits $130 at some point, but is ~$80 at year end due to recession. A Katrina or major geopolitical event would yank it to $160+ at peak.

Well, TOD put out that prediction that we stay on the bumpy plateau until mid '09. Considering all the attacks on supply/crazy weather/crazy leaders/etc...that seems optimistic.
