Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

We had this discussion before, I think it was subsequently erased in that last wipe out but I agree with the original poster, there's too much odor of fish, from the collapse of the towers, the collap ...

Welcome back Barbara! I was wondering what happened to you. Especially after you started the Peakoil.community thread. Take a look and tell us your thoughts.

Even a poor person in the U.S. today lives better than the lord of the manor did in the old days.

Please elaborate. If watching 8 hours of tv a day is better then I would agree with you but ...

I like your ideas buster, except for your dismissal of California. The location Itch describes sounds ideal, and it is in sparsely populated Mendocino Co.

Any ideas for the community business?
