Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

Looks good, xerces!

I was just looking at your blog, too. What do you use to stake up your peas? I used some kind of plastic netting, but it turned out to be too short for my pea plants and now ...

It looks great! I would work towards soil improvement. Richer soil would allow you to plant more crops in the same space.

Work is terribly mind-numbing for me. The money is excellent and is going towards my PPO preparations. And quite frankly the $$$ is the only thing left that still motivates me at the office.

6 miles round trip for me. I bike to work once a week and take the subway for the other 4 days. Sweat is a huge dis-incentive. When I do bike I have to carry along an extra set of office clothing.

Nice crop. Can you expand it? You seem to have a nice knack for high production on small area.

Well this is a succession pattern. The potatoes and onions are succeeded immediately after harvest ...

Good work, dude!

How much space do you devote to potatoes? They do take up a good amount of space, but I love them, and they are a staple.

What do you do with your excess, dry, can, or sell?
