Is there any way to edit a post?

I dont have an edit button..... Embarassed

Apparently both me and my browser are on crack. I have an Edit button for THIS post, but not ones in say, Round Table Discussion.
Also, the Peak Chat does not work in Firefox, but it does work in IE.

Spec = Question

Sorry about that.

In most of forums you can't edit because it could be used to make nonsense of following posts by disreputable posters. Going back and changing history, so to speak.
I'm sure you don't fall into that camp, however we have no way at present of granting that privilege to some rather than all.

No idea about your other problem though.

Ok, the edit thing makes sense I guess. I just hate it because I always post the reply, THEN proof read and go back and edit spelling and other mistakes. I just cant rpoof read while still in a Post Reply window, I dunno. I'm funny like that I guess.....

The edit feature would be good as is common on many boards, I guess if it won't be a go'er here, just repost your corrections if you have any.

OilBurner, if you add a time in on the change of edit, people will know a post was edited. Therefore they'll know if someone is attempting to change history.

Bah! Implement that feature already! In fact it's just a config setting.

For PHP boards, there should be a line that goes something like "Last edited by nnn on dd-mm-yyyy, edited xx times in total".

and I don't know any php, maybe you're confusing me with the anon bloke from the Bill Hicks forums? or whoever runs those or was running them, they use php - try posting at the Sacred Cow board, he might help because he's a right-winger and the way I found this place was via a post by someone else on another forum again that said ' bush - cheney - jesus ', so naturally i came over here to see exactly how Labyrinth Group it really was

I understand the edit button thing. Could there at least be a button to delete duplicate posts. I'm bad about posting something then hitting the back button on my browser only to see it posting again. I'm trying to train myself out of it, but still.
