I think this is the beginnings of an economy based on perpetual growth and fossil fuel energy running headlong into geological energy constraints. Basically I see an undulatory downward path for the rest of my life. From here out, I think any rallies in our economic condition are going to be met with spiking commodity prices that knock us right back down.

I'm surprised this slipped under the radar (or at least I missed the posting)
The Potential Crisis at Fannie Mae
The fact that they have to review their books to prove or disprove accounting errors is one thing, but the fact that their books are in such bad shape that it will take "six to eight million" man hours to verify the books is another.

anybody have any more insight or info on this

I suspect Fannie Mae is clustered with cronyism and corruption that would rank right up witht he best in the world.

When the FM's come crashing down it will be quite a mess.
