Chechnian rebels claim that they commited the act of sabotage that lead to the blackout. Would this be the first case of energy-terrorism? That might bring other people on bad ideas?

LOS ANGELES (Sept. 12) - A large portion of Los Angeles was blacked out Monday when electrical power was lost.
The power got knocked out shortly before 1 p.m. after two power surges.
Traffic lights throughout downtown and the San Fernando Valley were not working, causing major traffic problems, according to video from helicopter news crews.
Downtown highrises also were darkened.
The city's department of water and power said it was investigating the cause and extent of the outage. 09/12/05 16:17 EDT

Remember too Solar flares were expecting to hit today as well. They can knock out transmission lines as well.

This is to be expected.

It's only another few years before the silde and less than a decade before the cliff event...if you believe in the Olduvai Theory.

But still, Shocked .

OH MY GOD THE PEAK IS HERE SOCIETY IS FAILING WHERE'S MY GOLD?!!

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Actually, I don't think I'ld want to be in LA with the power out. It's hot there. And doesn't the traffic suck without all the stoplights out?

And hey, aren't we invading iran in november? If November's taken, than I want December. Can I have December?
