So to does the decline of existing oil fields need to be balance against the new ones coming on-line. Given the penchant of Republicans for skewing the numbers constantly, it may be years before any politician owes up to the net oil production decline, just like they will never mention the dismal net job growth conditions
So True Web HT,
but don't ask about the ClitOOn economy with Enron, Stockmarket, .com bubles and such. ClintOOn and the Democ-Rats was just a very good at sticking varios body apendeges into the dyke to stop an impending deluge'.
Come to think about it, just about any brain dead government would do the same... _________________ With Love to all, and Malice to none.

Rush Limbaugh sez that should be half a dozen Oxycontin and a bottle of Glenfiddich.
I'm with you NV Ghost. That's hy I'm ambivalent about this election. Whichever party gets the Oval Office this term won't have it the next because they will get blamed for some serious dookie that's going to go down in the next four years. Keep yer powder dry![/u]

I hope like hell that PO isn't coming, I like my lifestyle thankyou very much. I'll eventually get of my ass and buy some Canadian oil sands shares, suncor preferably. Maybe if things don't get too too bad I'll be able to weather out the storm. Suncor 37$ on the TSX. Long term growth potential I might add. Buy Canadian, yeah!!
Canada, home of the gunless and a hell of a lot of oil!

Regarding the tar sands, does Canadian culture have any saying equivalent to the "I have some swampland in Florida I want to sell you" we have in the USA ?
"The salesman was so good, he could sell ice to an Eskimo".

We usually get sold on time shares in the sunshine state, or alternatively a scam from a rich nigerian who just has to give his money away. BTW most north american internet scams come from la belle province, dont know why. Pyramid scams are also big here, legal and illegal, the latter is referred to as mlm.
I was earnest about suncor btw, I am suggesting it on advice from deffyes book; he says buy up companies with proven reserves, ie suncor. I am reluctant for one reason only; if prices tumble suncor, and syncrude, take a beating. They need oil at at least 20 a barrel to make money. It is proven tech too, they have been working it for a quarter century now. The biggest player, syncrude is not public, it is a consortium of a bunch of us and canuck companies. They are into regular oil anyway so I am not interested in them.
