| I second the 'quick-reply' request. It would make it so much simpler. It might help with the servers, I'm not sure though, not that technical. |

I understand the need for these forums but I wish they could be put in some kind of anonymous closet where I could not have to weed them out of the good stuff |
We have had that filter for some time.

It's called Last 24 hours under Discussions in the Menu.

Some special thread for "conspiracy theories" would help.
They are "diluting" useful materials. |

| I'm not sure if there's already a good place for such discussion, but how about a forum to discuss some of the social implications of peak oil? I'd like to discuss ways in which the peak might affect our society beyond just economics, as well as talking about social realities in the post-oil era. Let me know if there's already a place this would be appropriate, and if not, consider making one. |

| I don't care for the increased font-size of the thread subjects. Unless you are geriatric, pediatric, or myopic, there is little need for the huge font. |

Hi
I am trying to be a good little poster. I do do searches, but when forums come up (where the main thread is not for what I was searching) I have to wade through so much just to find the one post. Would it be possible to have search responses come up as the forum, but when you click on the forum, it automatically goes to the requested post?
If not, that is okay. You do so much for all of us. I am very thankful that I found y'all, and that you are so willing to help me figure things out when I get lost or confused!!!!!!! |

| I really think this place would benefit from a new forum system like vB or SMF. But with so much data I couldn't imagine trying to transfer it all - not even sure if it would work. |

My only major gripe (which has already been addressed, profusely) is the speed...but it's free so I have no grounds to bitch about anything at all, realistically speaking.
Other than that, it has been an excellent source of information and you guys are doing a fine job. Aside from the usual % of people who frequent forums who are generally snide and confrontational for no apparent reason (anonymity + an audience = balls), there are a lot of reasonably thoughtful people on here. I'll miss it when the grid finally collapses. _________________ http://johnludi.com |

I would like it if peakoil.com would have a page that tracked the following statistics:
monthly global oil production according to EIA and IEA,
monthly global production of various subcategories of oil, including light sweet crude, NGLs, etc.
Stocks on hand of the following:
oil and its derivatives
grains
natural gas
coal
Monthly average prices of the following items
oil
gasoline in selected countries
wheat
corn
nitrogen fertilizer
common pesticides used in grain production: glyphosate, 2,4-D
I can find some of these things on the web now, but not all. Some I scan the news for. It would be great if there were just one page where they were all collected and peakoil.com users could all reference the same statistics. _________________ Just another tofu-munching bike-riding Rambo(/Rambette) |

| I like Pixie's idea. A general data/graphs section that is updated regularly. Every once in a while somebody will post an interesting data visualization but it is not always easy to find on short notice. |

GET RID of these stupid stories by GRAEME or whatever his/her screen names is. I'm sick of going to Current Events and seeing 6 or 7 stories by them. They're stupid and they have no thought put into them. Its not hard pasting in a story that fits with your agenda.
Anyone?
I've cut down my posting and my reading of this forum because of these ridiculous crap thrown out by a few individuals on here. Site is going to turn into a sci fi forum if this continues. _________________ "Oil is going up because we use too much oil, and the capacity to replace reserves is dwindling"
