Admin,
This is ChinaNet asking to link to your site, and you link to theirs. It appears to be an automated message. |

Go ahead and link. This is important.
ChinaNet is almost certainly connected to or run by the government of China. If the government is interested in its scientists & engineers discussing these issues with us, that's a great sign.
China is hard at work on Pebble Bed Modular Reactors, which are going to be a great leap forward for nuclear power. There's ample room for a good engineering discussion on the prospects of finding ways to reprocess spent PBMR fuel, or perhaps another generation of reactors that combine intrinsic safety with the ability to reprocess fuel more easily.
We may also be able to learn something from their experience with mega-hydro at Three Gorges. And perhaps there's room for debate over the question of mega-projects vs. decentralized projects.
And, they may also be seeking to learn something from European and American areas of strength such as wind power and high-efficiency diesel engines.
This is all to the good. And in this discussion we should leave aside political issues between each of our societies. Stick to science & technology, since those areas tend toward convergent solutions that will benefit everyone.
Now all we need are some people who are bilingual, who can translate the languages back & forth (Terran, are you reading this?). |

We don't have to link to them for them to post here... _________________ "When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." - Stephen F Roberts.
