Meanwhile, keep watching for shortage reports, because we should start seeing some sneak in this week, if our doom-o-meter is calibrated correctly.

I was thinking, I live in Arizonia, one of the most sunniest places in the country and a solar powered scooter would be useful out here.

Does anyone know if they even exist? Or possible a scooter that is electric and recharges on solar power?

Thanks for any information you may have.

Here's an article from MSNBC. If you read down you will find out about an electric scooter dealer that has teamed up with a solar panel dealer. You can recharge your scooter using the solar panel.

http://www.allwebscooters.com/solar.asp

Those scooters seem to cost over $1,000. I think your better off buying an electric scooter and charging the batteries using a solar PV panal.

How can I resist this one.

The original solar-powered scooter is the bicycle. Here is one pathway:

Sunshine -> Rice -> Chew -> Digest -> Metabolize -> Legs -> Pedal -> Move

And seriously, Velorution is the site to keep up-to-date with

I'd hate to crash any kind of moving vehicle with solar panels on them.

No, you wear them. Besides providing energy, the wearable panels provide protection against road rash and high-speed reentry heat, just like Space Shuttle tiles.

This is what could happen if you use the conventional protection of relying only on helmet and mouthguard.

Mouthguard, the chimperor used a mouthguard? Yes, he did.
