For a minute there I thought I had to get off my couch, when all the while the fact is we don't have to do anything much but keep things afloat for just a few decades more! In fact, we'd best shut up about PO, because if our offspring finds out we knew about it all along, they'll turn and wring our necks come 2036!

The transcript for part two of the series is now up:

http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0405/26/pzn.00.html

It's near the bottom; the "Crude Awakening" segment was near the end of the show.

Paula had two congressmen on, one Republican, and Democrat. Amazingly, the GOP guy from Texas was the one who actually mentioned not enough supply and the necessity of conservation. Though he also implied that if we just "let the market work" it would fix the problem.

Tonight, the topic is Bush, Kerry, and the politics of petroleum.

The transcript of last night's segment is up:

http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0405/27/pzn.00.html

"Crude Awakening" was at the end of the show.

Basically, it was just two politicians arguing. "We can't drill our way out of oil dependency" vs. "You want to raise gas prices!"
