Cyclists go naked in oil protest

Hundreds of naked cyclists and skaters have taken to British streets as part of a global protest over the dependence on oil.

Up to 500 riders travelled routes in London and Brighton as part of the World Naked Bike Ride.

The event was first held in 2004 when more than 120 riders cycled naked through London and Edinburgh.

Last year 250 people took part in the event, making it the UK's biggest naked protest.

'Fun but serious'

A spokesman for the event said the protest was over car culture and the vulnerability of cyclists using roads.

I dread to look at the article in case there's a picture. But which side of the seat do you hang your "equipment" (for the men of course)?

Who says there's nowhere to hang your shopping on a bike...anyway, there's a video, surprising amount of female riders as well.

I went this week end to London as a tourist for the first time in my life with a group of french teacher (i'm myself french and teacher).
So... I had the chance to see this demonstration and i even took some nice pictures. Smile

Curious to see that even when i try not thinking about peak oil, everything get me back to it...
