It just happens that any rape or murder scene usually contains the DNA of a lot of people. So the police tend to concentrate on the DNA found in the most incriminating places (like inside somebody's vagina or the drops of blood found).
With increasing awareness of principles of forensic science by common crooks many trivial low tech tricks can easily be played to "divert" attention of authorities to innocent people.
Lets say, that sperm sample acquired (with condom) from local prostitute got inserted into vagina of murdered rape victim.
It could even happen somewhere by now.
And what about this Tesco receipt (with your DNA and finger prints) being tainted with a bit of high explosive and thrown close to a terror attack site?
Blind belief in infallability of DNA based suspect identification is doomed to failure in not too distant future. You have also a chance to fall victim of one of those framing tricks.

One of my friends is running profitable diving school in Dominicana Republic.
He always insists, that paying few little bribes to various authorities in third world is far better deal, than suffering idiotic red tape regulations and horrendous taxes in first world.

Hi Doly this is an opinion based in personal experience but i found that police nowhere that i know is in the side of the innocents. At the end of the day police has to get a salary and fill in papers like everybody else. Some of my best friends were police but none of them had that ethical attitude.

I agree with your friend, again is a personal choice, but if have to choose between a Police state where i put my security in hands of the state and let's say anarchy where the security is in my hands i would choose the later. _________________ Stocking up on popcorn
