Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

Just thought I'd let people in the UK know that I am currently auctioning off a few books on ebay:
- The Long Emergency by Kunstler (currently at 99p - bargain!)
- The Story of B by Daniel Quinn - no bids @ 50p - doesn't anyone like Quinn in the Uk? I know Ludi is a big fan!
- Plan B by Lester Brown - 1 person watching but no bids @ 99p
Would have posted this shameless self-promotion in trade/swap forum but no such forum!
