Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

OK- I know that civilization is coming to an end soon, and the zombie hordes are sharpening their knives...and yes we all probably have a lot more important things to complain about but...
PLease people- the word is losing, not loosing.
If I have to see that word loosing one more time, I am going to go insane. Yes that does not bode well for me if I can't even handle a misspelling. I'll probably just keel over and die when the zombies ask for some of my home grown turnips...
Anyways...

You know, thuja, I couldn't agree more. The misspelling of "losing" as "loosing" has got to be one of the more annoying, and distracting, gaffes in the use of our communication tools. You see it everywhere, and it points to the deterioration of English so typical of an empire in its waning stages.
Some people think that spelling doesn't matter, but a post riddled with errors like that one tends to carry less weight and credibility with me.
Of course, we all make mistakes. _________________ "Actually, humans died out long ago."

This is the same thing goes for "then" and "than". But I careless, perfectionism is overrated. Idiots whom thrive in spelling will end up in asylum. _________________ "Panic is not a strategy." - BigTex

Sounds like a loosing cause.

BTW "Thuja" is the genus part of the botanical name and should be capitalized. Thus Thuja plicata - Western Redcedar. So every time I see your username I twitch... _________________ Cogito, ergo non satis bibivi

Kudos to you for getting my name. Botanists everywhere UNITE!
But as to the capitalizing of genus, the genus and species also need to be italicized to be proper nomenclature... so if I were to be accurate I would call myself Thuja.
Any taxonomic divisions above Genus should not be italicized
- thus Animalia, not Animalia.
If I were trying to differentiate plants or trees, I would certainly use the commonly understood rules of nomenclature for the sake of comprehension...but in this case I like the idea of a non-capitalized thuja- a sort of ee cummings take on a name...

Its = It (possesses).
It's = It is.

Don't you mean "italicized" instead of "capitalized"?

I updated to Firefox 2.0.0.4 and it's giving me spell check suggestions as I type. Very handy. Wish it could help with the content...
An Australian botanist once compiled a handy table of toxic side effects from working with various popular woods. Western Redcedar was at the very top I think, with all sorts of fun stuff - respiratory problems, hives, dizziness, giddiness, and good 'ol swollen scrotum.
Sounds like being in love, actually... _________________ Cogito, ergo non satis bibivi
