Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

just look at where it says that it takes 1000 cubic feet of nat gas to get 1 barrel of oil. if you work it out it comes to a hell of a lot of gas being used everyday,not sure what this number is?: 2,000,000,000 (2 billion??? or is it 2 trillion??) _________________ If everybody became a vegan, peak oil will not be a problem,nor will global warming,deforestation,water shortages,expensive food,famine etc.
