This "don't prepare" argument is just stupid. Follow the argument to extreme to see just how stupid a philosophy it is. Why save for anything? Why worry about retirement? Why buy a life insurance policy just for others to have? Why have a will? Why leave your house, you might get robbed? On and on.
Luck will often save you enough, if your courage holds out. |

| Garden seeds (canned, Mountain View), motor oil, gear oil, sulfa & tetracycline (vet supplies), fertilizer, lime, license for the wood-hauling trailer I built, parts for the '83 VW Rabbit. I could go on, but that will likely use it up. OH! yeah. FOOD!!! Thanks Seahorse. |

The number was revised to $600 today. Like I said. There were no $1600 checks.

I might use part of it to rent a backhoe to dig my pond.
I might buy more food and seeds, that's always useful.
We'll be going out to CA one last time to see the grandparents, we'll probably spend some of it then.
We've already decided to give half the $300/kid to our kids to spend as they like.

What to do? Since I haven't won the Lottery yet (really hard to do when you don't buy tickets! lol) so we can't buy a farm, we'll have to make our stand here, and I think that we might build a bigger fence around the yard (currently only have a 4 ft high hurricane fence)...

Well it makes me sick to think they are just going to print money and send it out,, but I'll take it.
