Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

Ludi,

How much produce does your garden produce? Does that garden make you self-sufficient in vegetables?

The garden hasn't been very productive in the past because I'm not a very good gardener. We grow most of our produce but still buy onions, potatoes, canned tomato products, and sometimes fresh carrots, also avocados and fruit (our fruit trees are just starting to bear). This year I'm hoping will be the most productive so far.

I've been harvesting:

lettuce
green onions
garlic
collards
curly dock
salad burnet
parsley
arugula
good king henry
asparagus
chicory
oregano
rosemary
