If "it's bunker time" why the fark do you care about the price of gold? You evolved some enzyme that lets you digest the stuff?

Given the complexities of the global climate system and our history of screwing the pooch when it comes to ecosystems it would take a miracle to not simply make matters worse with any geo-engineering project.

Won't stop them from trying of course.

Heh, heh. . . .When I lived in Maine there was the following court case:

Father was accused of child abuse for beating the ever living you know what out of his son. He was found guilty and sentenced if memory serves. The reason for his dismay and subsequent violence? His son had been having conjugal visits with the family German Shepard and had announced his intention to marry said pooch. The town where this occurred?

Rover. . .err Dover-Foxcroft. You simply can't make this stuff up.

Were all doomed!
It's all over!
Forgetaboutit!
Good Night! Gotta get up early tomorrow, as usual.
And drive 18 miles to my job. At least I can ride my 1800 cc motorcycle tomorrow. Not that it is fuel-efficient, or anything.
Just bloody fast.

Well, since Methane is so badass it would actually be smarter to burn it into CO2

Not according to these scientists....

news wrote:
Instruments at the observatory later pointed to an explanation for the rapid destruction of ozone over the ocean. The sensors picked up bromine and iodine oxide, which are produced by sea spray and plankton, and join forces to attack ozone.

Lewis said the discovery should give renewed impetus to programmes that aim to reduce atmospheric methane and low-level ozone. "It's an incentive to get on with cutting our emissions of these gases, because if we do, the atmosphere will scrub them away quicker and we will get the benefits sooner. Carbon dioxide lasts for hundreds of years, while methane lasts only a year or two in the tropics," said Lewis."
