i have my eyes on some local wild turkeys. but i suspect it's a violation of some local laws.

i was contemplating feeding them something that will make them fall asleep, then use a machete to chop the head off. nice long neck, can't miss.

I was told that corn soaked in vodka might be worth trying. Actually, I was told it would work, but I am a bit doubtful if turkeys would eat enough vodka to get tipsy enough to catch them, but it might be worth trying.

Interesting thread.

Turkey season is open here for the month of May. Can take Toms only (and only one), all hunting before noon. In the early winter you can take one of either sex sun-up to sun-down.

When it comes down to it, being flexible in as many ways as you can will pan out best for most folks. I think absolutes are to be avoided in most situations, but I'm not absolutely sure. Smile

Learn how to do stuff. Have as many food and water sources as practical available to meet your needs. I have all kinds of stuff I am trying to get better at. Some links in this thread are very helpful. I know so little, but at least I have a head start on most. It can't hurt to be ahead of the curve even just a little.
