Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

As with the Iraq war, The Onion's analysis is more accurate than WSJ, FT, Economist, etc.

I am pissing myself laughing.

This is gallows humour at its finest.

The writer definitely gets it.

My "stimulus" is already ear-marked to pay back taxes.

Isn't that a laugh?

I was going to be a nice guy and set up an investment account for my yet-unborn grandchildren, who are of course the ones who will end up paying for this Christmas in May because it is all deficit financed.

Seemed like the right thing to do somehow.

My 23 year old got a letter delivered to my home address saying he would be getting 563.00
He got a direct deposit of 500.

We didn't get a letter, but a direct deposit of 1209.
(two adults two small children)

preps. And my co-workers, even the seeminly intelligent ones, only care about American Idol and such.
