The post-peak oil, post-housing bust economy is already driving most crazy, and we won't even get to the food riot stage for maybe two more years.

I would do 4 of the books in journal form. The 5th one would be Kahlil Gibran's "The Prophet". It is my all time favorite book and if the day comes when the unaware masses start burning everything in sight for heating/cooking etc, at least I will have one copy of it.

The journals would be:
1. Food Related
2. Medical Related
3. Supplies, etc
4. How-To's

There is an abundance of good information here as well on the web. By doing the books journal style, I can pick and choose the best of the best so that all of the information is useful/helpful.

Are the Foxfire books comparable to The Encylopedia of Country Living?
