Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

There was a segment on towards the end of ABC World News which asked if it was the end of the American road trip. The parts that stood out were the following:

*4 dolars a gallon might seem like a bargain in the near future

*Airline travel will become a luxury

*People WHO STILL HAVE JOBS will end up moving closer in the cities

Yeah I know you guys have been saying this for awhile here but its just weird seeing this on MSM.

Note: I just noticed this written transcript is a little different than the video segement I watched. The transcript left out the part about airline travel becoming a luxury.

Quick, buy more supplies, buy more ammo. Shocked

It seems very much to be talked about in a "someday this might happen" kind of way....

I'm not much impressed.

What if this same segment were on FOX news? Would you be impressed then?

Oh what am I thinking...that'll NEVER happen.

Yes, I saw the piece. And they DID mention air travel.

Looks like peak is starting to hit the mainstream.

But they still have hope. The fools.

Cool

I'd like to see some of the segments from each year for the past 5 years about oil. You'd see a gradual change from dismissal of PO (oil around 30-50). Then maybe the acknowledgement that it could happen, but 30 years down the line (~$50). Then it would occur soon but we have plenty of alternatives (~$70). And now at easily over a hundred/barrel, they can't hide it and have to ease it into people's minds. At what price will they acknowledge the full truth though? Probably never. Hell, simply never.

I clicked on the tv this morning to see two attractive blondes discussing gas prices, and that demand nows exceeds supply. There was no argument or or finger pointing, it was like the stuff we talk about here. One of the ladies had some evidence she was presenting that claimed oil would be at $140-150? a barrel by the summer.
I mean, come on now. I barely watch any tv.. I click it on and there this is. It was not too long ago that I got excited over any blip in the news.

Yeah, most likely it would get blamed on China and India... The other day I saw them being referred to as "energy-guzzlers", I think it was on some ABC news article. Oh, here it is:

I don't watch Fox News.

I'm afraid I'm just not very easily impressed! Smile
