Hello All! I am very pleased to find this site, obviously because I am here! I am originally from lovely (ugh!) Southern California. My husband grew up in Northern Idaho...hmmm, strange combination, but we seem to make it work. We have been working on our survival plans for years now and, frankly, I thought we were weird, but that didn't stop us. We are currently living in Wisconsin, don't ask me why, and are looking to move back West. Not sure where, but preferably somewhere rural, with trees and hills, well some kind of terrain. We are interested in finding a location near other "like minded" individuals. Any ideas, suggestions? We are also interested in finding out more about solar/ wind power generation, especially about how we would go about converting a grid powered property to an off the grid property. So, any suggestions in that realm would also be much appreciated. I look forward to learning from all of you and hopefully, adding something to the group as well! Thanks for being here, Socalspeck
