I'm very pleased to have found this site and others who may share some of my concerns about surviving the collapsing economy, globalism, and pressing ecological changes. Well, that was a mouth full, wasn't it.

Everything seems to be impacting at once it seems ... like a singularity of misery. I had to put $90 into the gas tank for work this week, grocery shopping was another slap in the face ... 85 cents for one tomato ... $3.00 for a loaf of bread ... on and on. Two bags worth and my budget was in serious strain.

So it is past time for making changes. Just how has to be worked out yet.

take a deep breath, look around and try not to get too overwhelmed. One step at a time, one change at a time, it is all any of us can do.

I'm trying to be debt free and will be there in two more years, including the house being paid off. The next thing was to try to put aside some essenials, but that is proving to be a challenge with rising cost steadily eroding what I can contribute on that end.

I'm closing off some rooms to cut the energy bills, and am thinking of trying to trade for a used scooter or small motorcycle for transportation. That would help I think.

I must somehow get off the grid completely.
