Don’t worry, just a little bump - $70 is just around the corner. Short traders just keep making those margin calls, mortgage the house if you have to. Fortunes await you! PO is for pansies and doomers. At $70 short some more ..... it is going back to $22 .... the world is awash with oil ........ reality has nothing to do with it, its all in those charts!!!!!!!!!!

Ok you say, what's the point of predicting oil will hit $150 when it's already $144? Actually I don't know for sure, but I find it intersting that the President of Russia would even make a prediction of higher prices at this time - when the US and Europe are already complaining about higher prices.

Actually, this says to me we are on our way to the $170 price the President of OPEC predicted by the end of 2008.

Medvedev Sees Oil at $150 a Barrel, Slower Global Growth

By Halia Pavliva

July 3 (Bloomberg) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said he expects oil will hit $150 a barrel, and suggested the high price will slow global economic growth.

``I have said that oil prices will reach $150 a barrel,'' Medvedev said in a meeting with reporters in Moscow ahead of his participation in a summit of the Group of Eight industrial countries in Japan next week. ``Unfortunately, rising oil prices create problems for the world's economy.''

For the life of me I can't find any significance here? Now if he predicted $500 I would sit up and wimper. As it is, I'm back to my bone.

Me too. $150.00 doesn't scare anyone. Rush hour traffic is as jammed as ever.

Now when Putin, or Mr M, his mouthpiece for the next few years, says $250.00 by December, then I'm all ears!

Oil has already hit 145 dollars a barrel this morning.

I guess he predicted that oil would hit 150... today.

Well it would have been more interesting if he predicted $150 by July 4, like Morgan Stanley. But maybe this is the start of a new policy where government and energy companies make more price predictions (as we see above).

Quote:
Oil will hit $150, says Russia's president

Dmitry Medvedev, the President of Russia, the world's second-biggest oil producer, said that he expects crude oil prices to rise to $150 a barrel and retard global growth, reported Reuters. The Russian president described OPEC's influence as exaggerated, saying that the organization's decisions don't always have a long-term impact on oil prices.
