Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

Indeed, with modern kite-sails, fishing fleets not using a single drop of oil, become entirely feasible.

Not sure if y'all have heard but no more salmon fishing in California and some parts of Oregon.

Salmon Fishing Closed for California

I believe in Africa they have over fished the seas and now are screwed.

Another tidbit full of horsesh*t.
It is "entirely feasible" for "fleets" of sailboats to go fishing now. Now they don't since their effectiveness would go in the crapper and they would soon be bankrupt. Of course the boats would need generators to run all the electrical gadgets like fridges, freezers, navigation, etc. . . Guess that would require some oil.

There are plenty of way for fishing :
1) Using biofuel airplanes equiped with giant nets.
2) Building nuclear plants to belly up fish by putting high voltages in the oceans.
3) Throwing in the oceans the mountain of bills we have created after the bailout to dry up costs and grab some fishs.
4) building a pipeline between Jupiter and Earth to obtain natural gaz which will be used to feed boats.
5) Putting millions of dolphins in animal schools to teach them how to use nets to grab fishes for humans.
6) Renaming as fish other animals that are not yet scarces. For example, a pig would be called a fish in new dictionnaries.

Which came first, the Chicken or the Egg? This is a Horserace, do Humans die off faster and leave some fish to breed, or do fish die off faster until neither humans or fish exist to breed?

With the collapsing oil economy, I'll bet on the fish making it through here. At least if the decreasing Ph of the oceans doesn't make breeding impossible for them anyhow.

Actually, he's not. It's worse. Check this out:

The irony of PO, die-off, etc, is it might do good to natural resources.

VMarcHart : It might do good regarding what? Who cares if there are still natural ressources if mankind disappears? I don't give a **** about our planet if nobody lives on it. Even if they destroy their environment, only humans can appreciate how beautifull is our planet.

Every 2 weeks wife & I go to the local fresh fish market in Bolton.
(best one in NW of England).

Over the last year or two we've seen a noticeable change in the fish on sale, in both the variety and of course the (ever) increasing price.

Still cod, haddock, sole etc for sale, but very little & very expensive. Newcomers are red snapper (good), sea bass, and tarakihi, a fish from New Zealand (can't come from any further away). There are other fish for sale the likes of I've never seen or heard of before. Don't fancy trying them as there so bloody ugly !!! "Trawling the depths" comes to mind.

Scottish farmed salmon & trout though is abundant, good & cheap.

The good old english "Fish & Chip" supper is still on the menu - but an expensive luxury these days.
