So was I.
Large numbers of troops are neither needed nor appropriate in that terrain when you have a couple of companies of Special Ops and some Predators with Hellfire.

What is Pakistan going to do if the US ignores and continues the raids? Clash with American troops?
Speaking as an Indian, I really hope that happens  , but the Pakistanis have been kissing **s to the US for decades and they aren't going to stop now.

I don't have a clue, Venky. I suspect nobody knows. The US troops will keep on going anywhere they want to, with or without permission (as far as I can tell). Sometimes I think all these excrsions are just real-life war games. ...sigh....
