The book centers on Iraq and includes a century of history leading up to Operation Iraqi Freedom. Seemingly without leaving a stone unturned Mr. Everest presents facts and quotes in a readable fashion which, if the truth wasn't known you might find entertaining instead of appalling. I would like to think that the book is packed full of lies and deceit however with the strong bibliography presented I'm afraid the ideas are closer to truth. It chronicles the extent of Western involvement in the Mid East, from land and oil rights to CIA sposored overthrows then on to instigating wars and providing weapons to two warring nations (remember Ollie?). As if that isn't enough you go on to Kuwait then government sposored famine and more war.
My biggest problem with Larry in a personal sense is his apparent stand for communism. There are no counter points mentioned in regards to threats the Soviet union posed during much of the era chonicalled here. His affiliation with http://www.rwor.org/home-e.htm has a tendency to discredit his work from my standpoint.
