How then, do we move backwards? How does a society, with most of the people having no clue of future events, move from being dependent on a vast and intertwined network of goods and services produced by the indigenous people of whereever, to a local resource and renewable energy based society, and do so in the timeframe available (20-30 years using the most liberal extimates, 10-20 with resonable estimates, 5-10 with worst case scenarios), all the while prices on everything increasing, world politics getting more militaristic, governments continuously reducing civil liberties, shortages of goods on the market and weather patterns resembling bad Hollywood movies?
Nope ...... its the all new bolibarbarian way to get your money, with a little extra, out from your local bank.
Ahh, almost forgot:
An assault group, dressed as Nazional Guards and carrying long/short range weapons, took over o police station, smashed down the dividing wall, took the money from next door bank, freed the inmates in the police station and came back home to plot the next hit.

What point is there in having lots of money and a walled in paradise when half way across town the streets are open sewers with shacks and poverty ravaged imbeciles for residents? C'mon man. Fairness and decency in any society is not only honourble, it's pleasing on the eye. Greed gets you nowhere....its as bad for the rich in the long run as it is for the exploited. It's a no brainer pal. _________________ Bugger me, I hear oil's runnin out mate!
