This is great and all, but not everyone lives in Houston. Maybe we could change this from "HoustonPeakOil" to "LocalGroups" or "GeographicPOGroups" or something. The Post Carbon Institute is calling it "Relocalization" and has some groups forming.

Anyway, it would allow people from many places to get together using this forum instead of just those from Houston. And if your worried it might turn into a mess, perhaps we could enforce some sort of topic guidelines? Say, "Country, State/Province, Local Area."

That way, when you post "US, Texas, Houston" and I post "US, Hawaii, Oahu", it will be very easy for anyone to search the forums and come up with something near them, no matter where they are in the world.

This forum supports a specific group, (who have thus far not posted anything) in Houston

We would be happy to create similar "local focus" forums for other groups.

We also offer to install & host local PO websites as seen in our left menu.

I asked for an investing forum here not too long ago, it would be a good place to put all the gold/silver/commodities investment posts which are scattered all over the board.

Why this obsession with classifying posts? What would be the good of sticking all past posts on gold and silver in one forum? Nothing would be accomplished by this huge effort, since no one is going to sit down and read through 1000 posts on gold and silver.
