No, no...
Don't use them to buy anything.

Rather make something useful out of it.

For example I have removed holograms from my old CC and other plastic money and made out of these fish bites after arming these with standard hooks.
So I have tested fishing line for herring assembled out of 4 standard bites and one made out of hook and two holograms stuck together (to have hologram on each side).
I made sure it works well in water (mean wiggles well on the line).
I have noted that bite armed with holograms, which are surely reflecting light in interesting way is more successful in catching herring then ordinary bite.
So out of first 20 herrings caught 6 got hooked on holographic bite and statistically only 4 should.
No other bite on the line attracted this many herrings.
I will run experiment for longer and if found successful and statistically sound, I already know what to do with my stack of already useless credit cards and other forms of plastic money.

So do you have any other ideas what useful can be done out of credit card?

My another idea how to utilize cards made out of PVC is to dissolve these in little volume of solvent called THF (tetrahydrofuran) and use this very viscosous solution as a glue for shoe repair.
That is, what I actually done with remains after taking out hologram to make a fish bite. Smile

I have a HUGE collection of fake credit cards they sent me with credit applications, almost a shoebox full. I was thinking of using them glued together for Christmas tree ornaments, in a box shape. Hang 'em on a string so they will spin in a breeze.

Or, I could cover my tool box with them. If I get enough, maybe I can shingle the doghouse roof with them?
