There is a promo airing that claims that Nostradamus' last book was hidden for 500 years and that he saved his biggest prediction for last. It claims he predicted our doom as of 2012.

Airing on the History Channel Sunday at 9pm. (don't know if that's eastern of pacific, probably pacific though).

2012 why does that sounds so familiar?

Maya is the goddess of illusion

And we are currently living in the Mayan Civilization.

I'm sceptical.
I've got a copy of Nostradamus from early 1980 with explanations of the predictions.
Hardly anything covered our times at all except that France would become a monarchy again in the 90's.

The problem with Nostradamus is the cryptic way he writes that it is impossible to know in advance what he meant and we find situations to fit it to afterwards.
