Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

i see areas here for europe, north america, australia etc but not one for asia. i think there should be. china and india are becoming major players. japan already is. i think there should be a section for discussing this major market area.

Okay folks, Venky made this request a while back, and we've got a moderator willing to moderate it. Since we now have more demand for it I'll set it up a bit later today. Thanks for the input. _________________ The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." - George Carlin
