Colombia's Cano Limon-Covenas oil pipeline has been paralyzed since a Tuesday night rebel bomb attack, state petroleum company Ecopetrol said on Friday.
The pipeline, which has a capacity to carry 225,000 barrels per day, was transporting an average of 93,000 bpd from Arauca province to the Caribbean coast.
The Tuesday night attack happened only hours after U.S. Ambassador William Brownfield visited Arauca to emphasize how security in the area had improved, due in part to billions of dollars in U.S. aid.
