For a minute there I thought I had to get off my couch, when all the while the fact is we don't have to do anything much but keep things afloat for just a few decades more! In fact, we'd best shut up about PO, because if our offspring finds out we knew about it all along, they'll turn and wring our necks come 2036!

I propose a classic solution to a problem as old as time.

A litter, borne by slaves. Either the economical 4-slave version, the sporty 6-slave model, or the deluxe 8-slave limited edition. Cool

Do the slaves wear leather with the limited edition?

Indeed they do! Also, for a small additional fee, you can add the posi-traction soled sandals!

They have a radio option too. You get a singing slave sitting next to you in your box Cool .

Also, we don't have to give up air conditioning. There's another package with slaves walking beside you, blowing cool air in your direction.

I chose #2, bad-artery powered--cuz if I'm still alive in 2050, I'll be 95 years old--and still walking as my main transport! Cool

bad-artery powered maybe, but the problem is batteries only last a certain life cycle, and after a certain number of recharges/discharges, the life declines. If battery manufacturing is still in place, it may work.

However I believe bikes are still going to be around.

Like savethehumans, I will be 95 in 2050 (should I last that long). Presumably I will have my affairs arranged such that I don't have to go anywhere! With any luck, I'll just be doddering around in my garden. But, more likely, pushing up daisies Smile
