...but everyone needs to quit worrying and enjoy themselves a bit! You could die in a car crash tomorrow, or be diagnosed with cancer, and never even live to see peak oil, much less it's consequences. Even with the best laid plans, things might not go as you'd hoped. So take a break every once in a while and enjoy the last few minutes of the party, because there will never be another one like it.

I do cherish every day, fossil_fuel. Mainly because I know I can't get away from PO--everything from news to traffic to people planning their great futures--NOR can I change it. So I have my PO thoughts, visit this PO site, keep up with events--and remember that today is NOW. It's a heck of a balancing act. But being miserable all the time isn't gonna stop PO (or GW or climate change or economic collapse). So I'm not. Not ALL the time, anyway! Very Happy

It is really too late to prepare for peak oil now unless you are already a farmer/rancher living off the land. So those of us in the cities and suburbs we are as good as dead and our days our numbered. Don't waste your last few years worrying and preparing only to delay the inescapable for a few months if you are lucky. This crisis will likely go nuclear in the end so it is best not to even worry about it. Just enjoy these last few years. Go for a quality life over quantity life. A short life spent enjoying every moment can be better then a long one spent worrying.

Those old WWII era A-bombs are dangerous.

But it is these H-bombs that will bring about the end of the world.

It could all happen a lot sooner then even 2012. There is a conspiracy out there that says 9/11 was inside job. If that is true then it means the decision to fight the resource wars has already been made in the highest levels of government.

I've always been of the mind that the mayan clock just needs to be rewound. Why not? all non-battery operated clocks need somekind of rewinding...

I've heard someone say that solar flares are going to come to a climax in 2012 and it will wipe out all the computers, electronics etc... that would change the world as we know it....

If we are so low on oil its not like we could just replace all of them easily.
