I thought it would be interesting to read actual peak oil discussions going on at the Oil and Gas Journal web site.

Synchronicity!

I just did that yesterday, refreshing all my old bookmarks. Hadn't really put everything together yet.

Good catch.

Interesting reading material indeed.
Its good to look back and see how things were 1-2 and 10-20 years ago.
Even better to know what a PO non believer thought only two years ago.

One thing on the first page thread seemed to stick out and that would be this quote by Dr. Leo Drollas :
"Expected non-OPEC output increases and planned capacity increases by the OPEC member-countries will see to it that oil prices stay around $18-20/bbl (in nominal terms) until 2012 or thereabouts. Thereafter, prices should begin to trend upwards as the oil overhang begins to peter out."

So much for "seeing to it" aye fella?
A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
