I know this is the Book/Media REVIEWS section, but I feel like this would be the most closely associated forum for this topic.
I was just wondering what songs make you think of Peak Oil? This may seem a little strange to some but for me when I'm listening to a song I try to envision some sort of imagery to accompany it, like a music video in my mind. Two songs that trigger post-Peak images in my mind are "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins and "When The Children Cry" by White Lion. More so White Lion, just because the lyrics really fit the situation and the song is very slow and sad.
Here is a small sample for those who are curious

Here are a couple from one of the two greatest bands in the world, Rush:
Subdivisions from the Signals album, Red Barchetta from Moving Pictures
Damn, as I'm sitting here thinking, I'll have to go through my entire collection, because themes relating to topics discussed here (sustainability, technology, individual freedom) are all through Rush's immense body of work!

Synchronicity II, Walking in Your Footsteps, King of Pain, Invisible Sun, Secret Journey
It seems odd to me, thinking about music that I love, how much of it relates directly to my worldview on sustainability, a view I really did not know I had until recently. Perhaps it was how I was raised by my parents that instilled in me particular values? When I heard music that reflected those values, it resonated? _________________ Whoso would be a man must be a non-conformist.

I heard this on the radio the other day. Hadnt heard this in awhile but for a older song it defiantely still holds true.

Hey how do we upload MP3s to the Resources section? I just finished a new song called "Energy Crunch." You can download it (and other songs) on my music site. I also have "Songs from Oil City" available for free download... it's the first PO-dedicated album that I am aware of.
I used the very enlightening National Geographic (Energy special issue) from February, 1981 for lyrics. Back then is when we should have taken action to prevent PO.
Pain of Salvation's BE is currently resonating a huge amount with me the moment.
While not strictly peak-oil related, it's a beautiful yet profoundly chilling tale recounting the tragic demise of mankind through his own actions and overconsumption.
I can see us read the signs

To all the wounds that we inflict to this world by being "free"
