I think this is the beginnings of an economy based on perpetual growth and fossil fuel energy running headlong into geological energy constraints. Basically I see an undulatory downward path for the rest of my life. From here out, I think any rallies in our economic condition are going to be met with spiking commodity prices that knock us right back down.
I'm a college drop out, although I would have pursued some degree if I didn't know what I know now. Jobs? Well, I quit all of my previous jobs in order to avoid getting fired. I would have been fired for pretty dumb reasons, anyway. I mean, doesn't everyone steal things from their workplace; show up to work on drugs; refrain from doing actual work; and sexually harass co-workers of the opposite sex? Of course they do.

33, married, BA in Liberal Arts. My title is Data Mining Engineer at an anti-spam company in Silicon Valley, although I generally refer to my occupation as "computer programmer." I've also done light systems administration. I live in the beautiful Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California. For SHTF cred, I have expired EMT and Wilderness First Responder certifications, I've spent a decent amount of time camping, and I've done manual labor at different times in my life and found it truly enjoyable. For fun, I love to ride a bicycle, play a guitar, or read literary or science fiction.

B.S. in Journalism
Married, stay-at-home Mom to my 1 1/2 year-old daughter. Have an internet business that brings in some income - upside for PO, I don't have to commute. Downside, if the economy tanks, it's probably toast. But for now, it's nice.
18 years old, im a college student majoring in Biochemical/maybe Chemical Engineering specifically alternative energy. Man what a perfect time to become aware of PO, really helped me decide what I wanted to go into (after learning such as PO all the other jobs seem kinda useless, wonder why )

Full time parent. BS in research meteorology with several years of physics and cognitive science before that. Married to a meteorologist with a home business (books and software). I've done research meteorology for the gov't, freelance consulting, software development and shareware. I also have lots of retail management and childcare experience. I was planning to go back to grad school for information science and maybe become a librarian, but it looks like that plan has been derailed by nature!
