Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

B.S. Nuclear Engineering from the University of Arizona. Saw students better than I not get jobs in the stagnant US nuclear industry, so I jumped ship and landed in education. I'm now a science and math teacher at a private day school for students with disabilities, usually emotional and learning disabilities.
I had personally been speculating, calculating, and pondering the US energy situation for a couple of decades. When I stumbled upon Matt's Peak Oil site some weeks or months ago, I was shattered with fear that my coffee table personal musings of many years had been consolidated and made real in front of me. It was frightening because I couldn't dispute it; I'd already been agreeing with myself for a long time.
The girlfriend readily accepted PO, which was a huge relief. We're in it together. She's the senior paralegal at her law firm.
We're 33 and 30 with no children, wondering whether we should have some now or after PO.

Eh....22, high school dropout, Electronics Technician's Apprentice diploma from vocational training, did slightly over 2 years at ITT Tech working on my Computers and Electronics Engineering (AS) where I spent over $30k worth of loans but failed in the end and didn't get a degree (go me).
